You probably have the one with the NVidia graphics chip don't you?

Reballing is probably your cheapest option to fix this actually.
This problem tells me that your graphics chip (GPU) on your motherboard has gone bad possibly due to overheating. What is happening now is that some of the connection under the chip has separated, possibly some melted and touched each other causing a short of sorts.

So either reballing the chip or replace the motherboard is your only options to repair this laptop I'm afraid.

SOURCE: I have LG E500 notebook and it's video card stopped working

Usuelly video cards are part of your laptop mainboard so you have to replace the whole mainboard.

SOURCE: my Lg e500 laptop camera is not working and the

The solution is (even if it sound abit awkward and strange) this:

Turn of the computer.
remove battery.
start computer on ac-power
turn on computer and press F2 multiple times to enter BIOS
go to the last menu and reset settings to default settings.
save and restart computer (still on AC without battery)
when computer is fully booted, shut down again.
insert battery and boot up again.
it should now work when you start YouCam.

im not sure if all the steps are necassary, but i followed this guide and got it working !

My LG e500 running to hot than stop by them self untill now still blank, everytime I start always blank

Your video card has been burned out by the high heat. Most laptops have a video circuit that is soldered onto the motherboard. Generally, mother board replacement is the only thing that can fix the laptop. I recommend taking it to a good computer repair shop for confirmation. Be aware, motherboard replacement may cost more than the price of a new laptop.

Black screen no bios post ?

When you press the power button, the fan runs, but nothing else happends?
After a few minutes, the laptop reboots?
Unfortunately, when an HP laptop does that, 99.9% means that your grafic card is out...
Thats a common problem with all notebooks now a days...
You can try to do a reballing on your grafic card, but it's expenssive, and don't have warranty.
So if you really want to have that laptop working, buying a new motherboard is the most reliable.

Whats a reballing? Here's a video:

LG E50 display problems

This is related to heat problem, resulting of bad manufacture of the motherboard. It hapens with some model of motherboard. I\'ve fixed some. You have to open the laptop case and find the GPU and CPU chips (See the manual or google for the manual of you board to locate them). Then see were the thermall mass is and wipe ip clean and replace it with fresh one. Clean the fans of all dust and mount everything again. That should do it.

Sd card reader not working

First check if are any drivers missing. If there are, try update drivers to solve. If not then you must open the notebook and check if there any visual damage in the card reader inside.

the cheapest way to fix this is to buy a usb card reader, there plenty on the market for abou 10$ or 15$. If the internal card reader is damaged you would spend a lot more money to fix it.

I have an HP Pavilion dv9700 series laptop that I bought from Costco about 3 years ago (the exact model I'm lazily failing at re-finding online.) About 6 months ago, the screen first interlaced green...

From what you are saying is probably a Video Card Problem.
The thing with these laptops is that the video card is embedded into the Motherboard
there are some DIY options but i wouldnt advice them since they are not a permanent fix
Best thing to do is to get it Reballed by a laptop specialist that knows and has the equipment to do it
or to change the motherboard.
I would advise to change the motherboard and even then the new one will have the same problem over time since its a factory defect.
Get a new one on ebay.

An LG E500 laptop is not getting power. New adapter, won't power up with or without the battery and when you plug into the power port, the connection is very wiggly. Where and how much to get this fixed?

Typicall you can get this fixed at a local computer shop in your area. Do not goto best buy. I have repaired several laptops with this problem. The power adapter plug inside the laptop has come loose. Normally you have to take apart the whole laptop to do this and re-soder the connections. This usually takes around 2-3 hours to complete. With the price of labor a company i work for usually charges 75$ an hour. Some places wont even touch it because of the work involved. You could buy a new laptop and yank the old parts out of your current one. On the bottom of your laptop you can unscrew some of the hatches and take out your hard drive, memory, etc. Possibility sell them online or keep your drive so you can get your info back. Sorry for the bad news. Repair might ending up costing more than a replacement. At least you can get your data off the drive.

Screen is distorted and split into 6-8 images at startup. This happens even during the bios screen. Eventually it blue screens and fails to boot....

You probably need to send it to HP and have them replace the video card. If the video card is still good make sure you try to upgrade the driver for that card.

A bad video card can disrupt a computer in many ways, and seeing distortion on the screen is a sure sign of video card failure or the corruption of it's hardware driver program.
