Base on other microwaves I suggest that it is either the drive element or the turntable motor. If you hear the motor turning it is likely to be the drive element. To get to the drive element take out the glass plate and there will be a plastic part that engages the plate. You should be able to pull the drive element out with a little work. The receptacle of the element will likely be shaped like a circle with a flat spot. If the plastic looks deformed it is likely the drive element. Don't be surprised that they want $30 for a new one. Use glue on the drive element as a last resort. With the drive element in but the glass out run the microwave for a few seconds. Can you see the drive element turning? No? New drive motor needed. It may be expensive but it should be easy to replace.

Microwave turntable wont turn

Hi - Possibilities of the turntable not spinning are either it is turned off, damaged or the support itself is damaged as well. Confirm that the power supply is not faulty or defective. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

I purchased a Sanyo microwave oven (Model EM-S7560W; Serial # 1011USM42789 A) about a month ago and there was a card in the box that was titled "Record of sale, award or lease of microwave oven"....

I have no solution but did look up the Title 21 subchapter J as well. As with ALL federal regs and documents I did not have time to read a frickin book. Lol. I will continue my research on this as we purchased the same model Sanyo last week. Defiantly threw up a red flag for me as well. Just don't ask me to register my guns. Haha. Sorry I was not any help but if Dealers/Wholesalers are required to do this then we as consumers need to know what needs to be done if anything.

Em-s3577s uk 2 wont turn

Remove the turntable plate and check the motor coupling gears underneath, if motor coupling is fine, then replace the turntable motor.

Enter the model number on one of two websites below to get parts and diagrams for your appliance:

Turntable doesn't spin

Well the table might not be on the revolving piece- that is what happened to my microwave oven, or the revolving piece might have to be connected to a belt inside that turns it

Turntable mechanism is not working

you will have to take it off the wall. There should be three screws in the cabinet above the unit . 1. unplug unit 2 place a large towel under unit to protect stove or cabinet 3 have someone support unit while u remove threee phillips screws 4 the back will hang on the wall rotate down lift and remove. the turn table is usually ran by a rubber belt and motor. Hope this was helpful please rate me

Turntable on my sanyo EM-C6786V MICROWAVE OVEN do not turn wilst cooking

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven. In some brands, you have to cut the motor cover off with snips, then use a screw when reassembling it.

You can find Sanyo UK support, parts and authorized servicers here.

SANYO EM-D9550. Turntable turns when off but not when cooking.

That's sounds pretty strange!

Since I don't have any service data on Sanyos, I'd have to speculate.

I would guess that one scenario that could cause it would be if the turntable were turned off via the control panel, but there was a switch or switch mount problem.

I would refer you to their support people:
