New memory card

I bought a new 2GB memory card for my Kodak Easyshare CW330, I inserted the new memory card into the camera and tried to take a picture but it said the memory card was full, which I don't see as a possibility because I took the memory card out of the package less than 5 minutes before, how do i get it to work?

    my problem is the same as the one stated. I have tried everything but nothing works.

    I installes a new memory card in the camera, and it said,"Memory card full". Not possible. I have tried everything to no avail. I have reinserted it several times, removed and reinstalled the batteries, turned it on and off. Nothing works.

    I bought a new PNY 2 GB memory card for my Easy Share, and after inserting it the LCD screen reads 'Memory Card Full'. Tried again, same thing. Went thru manual, reformatted, same thing. Went and bought a Kodak 2GB SD High-Speed Card, same result. Called Kodak 800# and guy said they did not have my camera in database.

    What gives?

This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card.
Try to format the memmory card using a card reader and the PC this should solve your problem if not you have to replace the memmory card.

I was checking to see if your camera had a limit to the size of SD memory card and couldn't find a thing so what I suspect is that the SD card lock has been engaged here is a diagram to show you how to unlock it.

Also any new memory card needs to be formatted in the camera before the camera can "read" it.
After pictures have been loaded to the memory card and then downloaded to the computer the memory card needs to be formatted to clean the old pictures off and make the memory card ready to accept new pictures.

Use a card reader and format on a PC. When card is inserted go to my computer and the disc should be there, right click and go to format then proceed as per screen instruction.

The CW330 uses MMC and SD cards. Make sure you have one of those cards, 2GB or smaller, and not an SDHC card.

Say's the memory card is full. It is a new empty (kodak cw330)
You may need to go into the Menu Selection of the camera & locate the "Format" option. Choose Format & see if it will then read the card.
