Is it the pump or the motor on the pump making noise? If motor then you need to replace the motor/pump assemble. if it is scale build up then you can try a scale remover scotsman or manitowoc nickel safe cleaner.

most times I see the tray and fill tube ice up its due to a leaky fill valve , this valve should close tight after filling tray , but sometimes they leak just slightly then everything freezes up in a block of ice

fill valves on most all units is located in back lower left corner , just follow the water line in the back of unit

My Scotsman DCE33PA1SC is not making ice. It has power and water

There can be a few reasons why your Scotsman DCE33PA1SC ice machine is not making ice, even though it has power and water:
  1. Thermostat: The thermostat controls the temperature inside the machine. Make sure that the thermostat is set to the proper temperature and that it is functioning properly.
  2. Water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for letting water into the ice maker. Make sure that it is functioning properly and that it is not clogged with debris.
  3. Water pump: The water pump is responsible for circulating water through the ice maker. Make sure that the pump is functioning properly and that it is not clogged with debris.
  4. Water filter: Make sure that the water filter is clean and not clogged.
  5. Control board: The control board controls the operation of the ice maker. Make sure that the control board is properly connected to the power source and that it is not damaged. It's possible that the control board is malfunctioning, which can cause the ice maker to not work correctly.
  6. Refrigerant levels: low refrigerant levels can cause the evaporator to freeze over, which can affect ice production. Make sure the refrigerant level is adequate.
It's best to consult the user manual or to contact a professional technician to diagnose the problem, as the issue could be caused by a number of things and it's important to troubleshoot it correctly

Ice-cream maker doesn't fit together

Do a 1/2 to 2/3 batch. Put a book and a soup can on top of the mixing arm to keep it down.

The machine does make wonderful Ice cream, however it is noisy and fiddly. Do not try the full batch as it just doesn't work. I find doing 2 half size batches works best. Also find a spare room to run the noisy beast in.

Lack of water in tray.

check and make sure that as it makes ice that no water is spilling over or out of the freeze tray. only a set amount of water comes in to refill resevoir. if you lose water during the freeze cycle the water level gets below the blades of the pump and it will sound like the pump is tearing up.
