The weight at the end of the arm should be adjusted so that it applies pressure to the stylus. However sometimes the cueing leaver can get stuck or break, not allowing the stylus to come down on to the record. If the weight has numbers trying setting it to around 2 or 3. If it does come down, adjust it till that it neither rumbles or slips across the record. It's a question of trial and error doing this.

Janome mc5200 sewing machine E3 code need to fix it myself. Cannot find it in my instruction book

Hello Dear Jeff Moore!
greeting
FYI......
Needle bar is out of position. Press OK to move the needle bar to switching position. (Needle bar change over phase.) 3. Remove the stationary cover then turn the hand wheel to 270°. Using a 2.5mm hex driver, turn the silver gear on the needle-change step motor to move the head from needle bar #1 to #4 then back to #1 to check for any binds. If there is a bind, adjust 'head play' as shown in the service manual. 4. Check and adjust 'moving head stop position' and 'needle stop position' as shown in the service manual.

I gather you don't know how to adjust the tonearm. First put the stylus pressure, and antiskating to zero. Balance the tonearm for a free floating position. Ortofon cartridges will list the stylus pressure, generally 1.5 grams. Dial in the correct pressure, and set the antiskating to the same as the stylus pressure. What is a balanced force?

Higher end turntables have an adjustment for Balance force. This is the balance of the arm such that the needle is off balance to the point where it pushes down onto the record album. The force with which it pushes down needs to be minimal but it needs to be enough to keep the needle in the grove.
1 to 2 grams is nominal but needles usually have the force setting listed.

Left needle thread is too loose on toyota overlocker

check to see if the needle is inserted correctly
make sure it's the right needle for the machine
try adjusting the tension setting to a higher number or letter
if that doesn't work, I suggest taking the machine in to be checked

Sld93 auto cue just falls short of the album. Is there a manual adjust or is new belt needed ?

Hi, at the base of the tonearm on the left side is a rubber grommet. Remove and insert a flat blade screw driver. Adjust slightly to the right and test. Adjust until needle lands in correct position at start of record. Cheers John. Stylus City
