Black particles in clothes after using a top loading samsung fully automatic washing machine

Since the last few washes, I am experiencing black particle residue in all the clothes, especially on white cotton clothes, these particles stick to the clothes and cause a stain on it and do not come off. I have tried cleaning the washing machine with a mild toilet cleaner as advised by a technical expert from the co. I dont remember the washing machine no. but it is a fully automatic samsung top loading one with silver nano technology.

I have the same problem except the particles are brown and will brush off if left to dry with the clothes and removed with a lint brush. Any suggestions?

I also have the same problem but when left to dry they just flake off. I have a Samsung Top Load SW65V9WIP. I will try the toilet cleaner but I have run 2 loads now with HOT water and no clothes and its just made it worse.

You said these particles stick to the clothes, do they come off and then leave a stain? It may be grease or oil coming from a leaking drum bearing seal.
If it is, This is a major repair and not one for DIY.

Hi - are these particles kinda ash grey black in colour? if they are then the bellows have sprung a leak.. unfortunartely the only way is to replace the inner stainless drum.

Inspect the top of the bowl for any signs of structural damage along the grey plastic housing as it contains very fine sand used to counter balance the inner bowl.. on rare ocassions these leaks and give you the particle effect similar to what you've described..

Which is better a top loader or front loader washing machine?

Front Loading Washing Machine: Fully automatic.
1. Better washing than toploading as technologically proofed.
2. No extra effort except putting cloths and detergent inside.
3. No need to observe in between while washing. Start and forgot. You can go market and come back.
4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing.
4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic.
5. You can not open it once it started.

Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi
1. Save water and detergent.
2. Need extra effort to put the cloth from one box to another.

Black marks on clothes

My wife complained that we were having similar problems recently. After investigation I located the remains of a pen entering the filter and removed this and did a few empty boil washes to remove any remains of ink and this worked for us. Check the filter and hose between the drum and filter.
