Hi

It was the power supply for the printer, I made a call to HP, and HP will replace it free.

Thank you for checking back with me.

SOURCE: HP deskjet 5550 - Recommended troubleshooting not working

That's an oldie but a goodie. I bought a 5550 in 2002 and it still works!

1. Try disconnecting it from the computer and bring to a clear area with good lighting (kitchen table or garage work bench). See if you can see anything impeding the movement of the cartridges (you are correct...they should come to the center)

2. Power it up againd with nothing connected to it...see if the cartridges move.

I'll check my 5550 tonight when I go home, because I thought the cartridges came out from the Right Side...not the left. I wonder if they are jammed on the wrong side.

I know it's not much help, but I will check some more. Good Luck!

Is is a DC or and AC output supply?
If is it an AC output supply tyhebm in the back of the HP had an AC to DC converted that is realy a diode bridge and should contain a fuse in the circuit somewhere on that board

My emachine EL1352G-41W wont turn on?

Power supply is most likely your problem--many desktops with this issue have before it happens an issue where it has to be turned on several times and will finally come on and stay on.

The power supply in most cases is a unit that can be removed and tested (most shops charge little or nothing for this.)

If you are able to get it out look for bad filter caps on that board--some examples:

If puffy caps are found you have two choices---replace them all or if possible buy a generic power supply replacement............

Worked fine yesterday - will not turn on today - kitchen

When you say the machine is dead do you mean you are getting no LED lights at all or do you mean it is not booting up? No power and no post are two different things. With no power you get absolutely nothing at all. With no post you may have some LED lights but nothing comes up on the screen. You said power and power supply tested ok. How are you testing it? I need more info please.

Printer worked yesterday and today it has no

It's a bad power supply. go to http://www.ebay.com and search for HP PSC 750 and there are numerous of new power supplies for the printer. Or, the wiring is dead inside the printer. Go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01321436&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=57769&lang=en

It's either the PSU or a bad USB cable.

AKAI 32" LCD HDTV WILL NOT TURN ON

The only solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply.
I service these power supplies, for more info write to [email protected]
