Some 15" monitors do not support 1024 by 768, check your monitor specifications if it does. google on the net with the exact monitor model no. and see if it supports.

Appears on screen"input not supported"

Start windows in safe mode - press F8 on the keyboard during the boot process and wait for the startup options menu to appear. Select Safe mode and see if this works. If so, then once in safe mode, change the display settings to a lower resolution. the maximum resolution for this monitor is 1024x768. Set it to 800x600 to see if it works at the lower resolution first.

Blurred screen

There is the possiblility that this program may have corrupted the video driver or a similar issue.
You may be able to go to system restore and back the computer up a day before you installed that program...all your settings will go back to that point but any data you have added will still be there.

We can't get our screen resolution back to what it was (1024x768) it changed when a game being played ended. It runs on 800x600 at the moment and everything is too big.

First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig 1.1 below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

The areas worth noting are:

Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor, but the standard options are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1152x864.

Normally the default (in XP) is set to 800x600 which means the display will be 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

Color Quality
This pull down box will contain the current colour options available, again this will depend on your grahics card and monitor, for best results select the highest option available.Changing the Resolution
To change your resolution simply slide the bar along to the resolution of your choice and then click the Apply button.

After clicking Apply your screen will resize to the new resolution and you will be presented with a confirm dialogue box (see left), if you are happy with the way your screen looks then simply click Yes, if you would like to try a different resolution click No.

When you have finished simply close the Display properties box.

Settings for dcl lcd monitor

Hi,
Your laptop resolution is greater than the external monitor can handle. From your laptop, try changing the screen resolution to 800x600, if it works, up the ante to 1024x768. You can bring it up again until you find a comfortable screen resolution. You will eventually stop to a point when your external monitor displays about 80% of the laptop screen. That is, back to your original problem. But you get the idea. Cheers!

Refresh rates and resolutions

What's the question? There's no real need to go above 85Hz, I think in nvindia you have to go to an advance menu and you can force an output, google it.
