My Vantage Webcam CS0300 suddenly stopped working recently. When I first got it, it worked fine. Recently, my computer has been giving me a message saying, "USB device Not Recognized". I've deleted the drivers, and tried to redownload, but I can't since it can't be recognized. I've also restarted my computer with it plugged in and with it unplugged. No differences. I've also checked to make sure it's NOT the ports, and they are not the problem.

If its running but not generating power it could be a few different things, could be a bad controller board, bad/blown parts in the generator head, or simply a bad connection somewhere. Did it sit a long time before use or was it working fine recently, by recently i mean a month or two max, and suddenly stop working? If its been sitting a long time and now doesn't work its most likely the field needs to be flashed on the generator, if it just suddenly stopped working and was recently then some component died and your going to have to go through it piece by piece to find the fault.

you return it and buy a better one, this one only works half the time and thats if you were able to install it.

The old CPU (Processors) were not 64 Bit advanced devices and will not work with Windows 8. The last OS they worked with was Win XP

The tiny little disk they give you works in the CD-ROM drive, I promise. This has your drivers that you need to install and operate this camera. Without installing the drivers, the camera is just a paperweight.

You need to get latest webcam update.

Your downloaded file of Yahoo Messenger 10 could have a virus on it which tells the computer something in the port you are using is not connected. Try a different usb port on your computer, Or your webcam could've just died. My webcam died after 1 week of use.(Labtec webcam) I would suggest trying different ports, Un-installing and re-installing, or purchase of a new webcam
