There can be particular issues related
to playing through a router or firewall,
including sharing your internet
connection via another PC. In order to
join or host a Conflict: Global Storm
game from behind a firewall you must
open the following ports (inbound and
outbound):

UDP ports 4658, 6500, 10010,
13139, 27900

TCP ports 4658, 6667, 28910,
29900, 29901, 29920

To host a game from behind a router
with NAT (Network Address
Translation), or a firewall, you will
need to enable ‘port forwarding’ on
the following ports to route data to the
IP address of your PC;

UDP ports 4658, 6500

TCP port 4658

If you continue to have problems
connecting to servers or creating
them, try bypassing your router or
firewall by connecting your PC directly
to your broadband connection.

Do not use ALT+TAB and do not enter Windows when multiplayer is running. It will kill the connection to GameSpy servers which are needed for connecting to any internet server.

Hello,

If you are having trouble hosting a online game, try the following steps.

-Check and make sure the ports are actually open as needed. You can do so at the following site, Click here

-If the ports are open correctly, try disabling any firewalls or anti virus program you have installed on your computer, router or gaming device.

-If this still is not working, and you have intermittent internet connections issues (like browing a site and your lose internet) outside of the game, you may have a bad internet connection, router, modem, cables or Network card on your gaming device. Your internet connection could be experiencing real bad latency, which you will need to contact your ISP.

Alternatively, you can contact technical support at Eidos Interactive as they can provide additional support.

ConflictGlobal ON MULTIIPLAYER GAME WHEN OTHERS JOIN ME THIS MESSEGE IS THIS SESSION IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE HELP ME PLEASW

"Session Is No Longer Available" happens usually for 2 reasons:

1) Change your server name everytime you make new server. Otherwise players will try to join to your old server in server list with the same name and that will not most certainly work since that server is has already been closed. Conflict Global Storm server list does not update too often, that it is wise to use new server name everytime you create new server.

2) Never alt+tab or go to Windows when your server is running. It often kills the connection to your server. You see your server is running, but players just can't get in anymore.

Creating a server

Make sure you or your friends are not behind NAT. It is much easier to connect if you have all public IPs and not something starting with 192. There are so many ports required to be open for this game and GameSpy that it is much easier to just open them all for this game.

Do not use ALT+TAB and do not enter Windows when multiplayer is running. It will kill the connection to GameSpy servers that are needed even when you are creating server to your own computer.

Sometimes in the lobby the server just dies quietly and you need to disconnect and reconnect. You will notice this when players just stop coming to your server.
