Hello, I have a 20 inch insignia dvd/hdtv. The TV worked great for a couple of months, now I have this problem where I am watching tv and then there is this weird noise, like the sound system is doing a sonic boom and then there is no sound. It happens on and off. I was wondering if anyone knows what the problem is? Thanks in advance, I appreciate it A LOT!

If you have a Directv receiver, and you have to be on channel 3 on the TV to watch it, then we have to get you off the video input. On a Directv remote, there should be a button toward the top left hand side that says "TV input." Try pressing this first. If that doesn't work, then look for the button on the Insignia TV remote control that says "tv/video," "source," "input," or something along those lines. Press it (some TV's make you press it several times to change the input). Just make sure that your Directv receiver is on before you start pushing buttons.
you might try checking the sap (secondary audio programming) option in your tv if it has one make sure it is turned off. if it is off or does not have that option you will most likely have to take it to a repair shop. i would not try to fix it my self as you will do more harm than good.
Do you have your manuel? Hit caption on the remote control and it will say off on the screen. Then click again and select CC1. Just make sure you are watching a program that has CC. Some shows do not have that. Try a major network.
