Smeg gas hob, 2 burners have very low flame

If two burners on your Smeg SR275XGH2 gas hob have a very low flame, it may indicate a problem with the burners or the gas supply. Here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check the gas supply: Make sure that the gas supply to the hob is properly connected and turned on. If the gas supply is off or disconnected, the burners may not function properly.
  2. Check the burners: Check the burners for any visible damage or blockages that may be causing the low flame. Make sure the burners are clean and free of any debris or foreign objects.
  3. Check the gas pressure: Make sure that the gas pressure to the hob is set correctly. If the gas pressure is too low, the burners may not function properly.
  4. Check the connection: Make sure that the connection between the hob and the gas supply is secure and not damaged. If the connection is damaged, it may cause the burners to function improperly.
  5. Contact technical support: If the above steps do not help, you may need to contact Smeg or a technical support team for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the problem and provide you with the necessary support.
It is also a good idea to check the documentation or manual that came with the hob for any troubleshooting tips or recommendations.

Flame on main hob of range master 110 is yellow and smelly also black sooty deposit left on jets

Ream out all the orifices and air venturi holes on the burner, adjust the air-ahutter, the air-shutter is usually nearer the valve/knob than to the burner. Yellow flame is an imbalance of fuel to oxygen and is creating Carbon Monoxide and not burning cleanly... this is the same problem that can make a furnace deadly. Blue flame=neutral flame.

Gas hob Luce(hotpoint) gas on glass 5ring burners keeps going out on low flame when pull pan drawer beneath out

Same problem with my hob. I adjusted the small jets to their lowest setting in order to be able to simmer -impossible on the bigger jets. The problem is the vents underneath the hob. These can't be closed off so the problem appears to be in the design. The solution I have to use while I save up to by a decent German model is to open and close the cupboard doors underneath the hob very, very slowly.

Flame very low in bottom oven

If the flame stays low from the beginning then it will be the flame safety device (fsd) not opening on sensing the flame and will require replacement by a gas certified engineer.

Hi, your thermocouple is faulty, it is the little probe like thingy that sticks up into the pilot flame. It is there for safety purposes, detects flame and holds a valve open magnetically to allow the gas to pass through. Try giving it a clean with a scourer, sometimes works, or your pilot flame is not big enough, could be low on gas or unit needs a service Kristian KJ Tech

Belling G755 Cooker oven wont stay lit

I'll give this a go! With a cooker like this, you depress and then turn the control knob, press the ignition button and continue to depress the control knob for a few seconds. This is because a device called a thermocouple is heated by the flame and you have to continue to depress the control knob so that sufficient gas flows to heat up the thermocouple. If the thermocouple does not get hot or stay hot then the gas valve is automatically closed - stopping the gas. The thermocouple is a 'flame failure' safety device. If the gas gets cut off then the flame goes out and the thermocouple goes cold switching off the gas valve automatically. However, you are having to try and manually keep the gas going for a good five minutes. I would think that there is either a problem with the thermocouple or the gas control valve!
