How come whenever I plug my mp3 to the computer, it isn't on My Computer NOW. But it was there before.

If the device is connected to the computer, it will be listed under My Computer. If it is not listed, you can check the Device Manager to see if any errors are listed. If there are, right click on them and select "uninstall". Disconnect the device and re-connect it to the PC. You can add to this question if you need more assistance. Best of Luck.

How do i play back a recording i've made? I have the Sansa m200 series MP3 Player

To play back a voice recording, you will need to do the following steps after turning on the player. Press Power/Menu briefly to get the software menu. Press the Repeat/A-B/Down button to highlight the line Play Music and press Select to enter the play back sub-menu. Press the Down button again to go to the line Recordings and press Select again. Use the Down button to highlight a particular voice recording and press Select to start playing the recording.

The manual for the Sansa M200 MP3 player is available as a PDF from the manufacturer here: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/241 . The details for playing back a Voice Recording are on page 23-24 (24-25 of the PDF). You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I hope this helps.

M200 with ink all over the cracked screen

Not worth it. The only way to get a replacement screen is to buy a broken m200 that has a good screen - and even then, it may not work if the LCD controller was also damaged. I have yet to see a successful screen repair on this model - YouTube has videos of people who tried.

SanDisk Sansa m250 MP#

Try doing a hard reset on a Sansa m250:
  1. Turn off the Sansa. Just pull the battery out for a second and then reinstalling the battery without pushing any further buttons.
  2. Plug the Sansa into a computer4.gif, and open "My Documents" in the computer.
  3. Open the Sansa file as if it were a drive, then go to the "MUSIC4.gif Specific storage" file.
  4. Right click the "MUSIC Specific storage" file, and press "Format."
This should hard reset the Sansa m250. This solution has worked for me.
I do not know if this will work on other Sansa m200 type .mp3 players.

Try connecting the device without batteries. If it shows up try formatting the device. Right click on the device in My Computer and select format. Best of Luck.

I can't delete files off of my mp3 player!

Hi, This is taken from another post, but might work for you as well: 1. Take the battery out of the Sansa player. 2. While the battery is out, plug the Sansa m200 player into another USB port, preferably a rear one or a self powered USB hub, on the computer. 4. If the screen reads ?USB Connected? when the Sansa player is plugged in with no battery, unplug the Sansa player. 5. Hold the "Menu Button" (Power Button) for 45 seconds. 6. Connect it to the computer again (still without the battery). 7. If the screen once again reads ?USB Connected,? disconnect the player and insert a new battery which has never been previously used. 8. Try powering on the player. If the above procedures (power cycle) didn't work, please repeat the process again but now hold the power button for 2 minutes and wait for at least 5 minutes before plugging in new set of batteries.

Sansa m200 mp3 player

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Problem

Have you tried removing the battery? Or maybe your battery is low. As well, if your mp3 player isn't turned on when you plug it in, that seems to affect if the computer recognizes it.
