Loss of AC sensing on Kohler Generator 14RES - Kohler OnCue Generator Management System For 14RES/20RES Models

That is an engine running issue, not a battery issue. :>D The first thing to check would be fuel supply. Can you start up manually and keep it running. If you can, it is the contactor that senses your loss of mains power and switches the generator on. It is not maintaining the connection, or is is misdiagnosing the power from the generator as power from the mains.

I would think it's not wired in right. The Shore power sensor circuit may be tied in to Generator power. Control panel would bypass this shore power sensing circuit.

You need to request this from whomever you purchased the generator from.

Can you see your controller or are you talking about on cue software.

Check for broken or eaten wires

Check little 4amp breaker on top. If not you need new controller.

Not enough lp or ng. Choke coil not picking up

Try disconencting the remote start wires between the transfer switch and the generator, if ot still does it you have a bad control board. If it stops, then check the transfer switch for correct wiring of utility and generator power wires, also check with an ohm meter if the run contacts in the transfer switch are closed, that would indicate loss of sensing, or bad board

You need a couple of things / options. The carb heater base, and an oil heater (srews in the drain hole, and possibly a battery blanket at that temp. Some OEM's offer an adhesive strip that you can also stick to the bottom of the alternator, that is also 120V and warms the generator windings to keep moisture out

Not sure what country you ar ein but in the USA/CA they will be a 120V accessory and as such need utility power at the generator
