I have a Coby MP610 which is about 6 months old and quit already. Won't power on screen stays black. very unhappy with product. Did push reset button but no help.

I also have the same model of mp3 player with the same problem, the screen on mine dosen't work, what you should try is: 1. take back cover off. 2. unscrew circuit board from front cover. 3. try turning it on and hold it to your ear, if you hear beeping noises it can be fixed, if not you're screwed. 4 while it is on, make sure the screen is awake and remove the back cover of the lcd screen. 5. stick the screen into the light, if you see a picture you have a loose wire on the backlight (my problem), if you don't see anything you will need to replace the screen.
