Have windows vista on new computer, no longer have CD ROm for camera. I am unable to access the software when I connect it through USB port???
My new computer with windows vista is not allowing me to download software for pentax optio 330RS when connected. Is there a solution? I dont have the CD anymore?
Re: Have windows vista on new computer, no longer have CD...
The camera should be detected as a drive when the camera is connected via USB. Does it? You should be able to connect and copy your photos straight out like a USB drive.

You do not need the CD that came along with the camera to access the video clips, connect the camera to the USB port in your computer using the cable that came along with the package. You can download the additional editing utilities that was available on the CD from the following link
Locate the HP Photo & Imaging software CD-ROM that is appropriate for the language and operating system and insert the CD-ROM disk into the computer.
For a Microsoft(R) Windows computer: Follow the instructions on the screen. Or, if the installation program does not start automatically:
Click Start , then click Run . The Run window will open.
In the Open box type: X:\SETUP.EXE (where x is the letter of the CD-ROM drive).
If the instruction prompts to shut down the computer, do so.
Connect the USB cable between the USB port on the scanner and the USB port on the computer.
Connect the power cable between the scanner and a surge protector or a grounded wall outlet. This turns on the scanner.
If necessary, turn the computer on again.
