Question about Lionel Cw 80 Transformer

1 Answer

The layout fits totally within a 4x8 board. No accessories and only the engine on the track. The engine stops like it is getting little or no power.

First check your track with a multimeter for track power voltage & continuity.
Second, clean your wheels & pick up roller on your locomotive.
Third, clean your track.

CAN A M90 SUPERCHARGER BOLT UP TO MY M62 SUPERCHARGER WITHOUT MODIFCATIONS?

This will totally depend on which generation of engine is fitted. If yours is the older engine that has the M62 as standard the answer is No. The M90 is physically bigger than the M62 so it won't fit past the injectors, they are mounted higher on the older engines. The intake port layout is different requiring a 'custom built' replacement manifold. The drive belt routing is also totally different. Read this old thread, (from 2007), it mentions the fitting issues this upgrade can have.
The newer engines were heavily modified to allow for the bigger, more powerful M90.

My IKEA dishwasher Renlig DWT160 will not turn on no lights. I've checked the fuse and power supply

If the unit is totally dead, the main board most likely is blown. You say you checked the "fuse"--is there a fuse on the dishwasher or are you referring to the electrical panel fuse box in your house? Did you recently have a power outage? Usually, within 3-4 weeks after having one, appliances will start failing due to damaged chips on the main control boards. The problem could also be a damaged user interface board. If 120volts is getting to the main board but the unit is dead, I'd highly suspect the board is bad. I've also seen lots of bug infestation damage to boards--classic signs are roach tracks in and around the boards--they're attracted to the warmth and will walk across the live boards, shorting them out.

Bachmann Emily

check all track connectors(squeeze lose ones with a needle nosed pliers..check wire from transformer to the track..and during assembly, the track gets any dust on it, the wheels wont make proper contact for the engine to run..) as for the locomotive.. sometimes you can clean the motor brush comutator with a simple pencils' erasure by rotating the motor armature by hand(small as it is) to clean the pickups on this..it will better help to transferr the electric into the motor..sometimes on these track layouts, you need fine grit sandpaper to run across the top of the rails as the manufaturer puts a protective coating on these.. it wont carry power to your train..you can also use the backside of a butterknife drug around the layout a few times with the electric off.. it helps you feel any rough spots on the track/layout..

I just replaced the tires on my Legend Platinum because the originals were totally wore down. I unplugged the pool fitting to clean out the little filter. After I reseated the connection (nice and tight)...

You may need to replace the wall fitting and the fitting that houses the screen. If you look at the fittings and find a tab broken or the track it runs in hurt that will tell the tale. The least amount of damage will cause pressure loss and the noise you hear.

Bachmann power pack shows a short.

Look in the tunnel and see if there are any thin bits of metal that could be shorting it out. If it is a sectional track layout, unclip the section just before the tunnel and just after. Try this to all your sections. If there is a short, your train should work until you connect the bad piece to it then all will stop. Basically a process of elimination. Also check connections to the track to see if there is a single loose wire that may be causing the problem. Another thing is getting the power pack and connect it to a single piece of track which is not connected to the layout and try the train. It could be the train shoring it out, try the train and if it works, it's got to be the track..

Wii Fit Board won't register with Wii Fit software

Nintendo had me set and reset the console and then the Wii fit board. They also had me take out the batteries from the Wii fit board, and repeat the reset. Apparently this works in many cases. IT didn't work for me, so now I'm bringing the unit in for repair. I am just a week past my 90 day warranty- they are charging me 47 bucks to fix it! What a sham! that's half the cost of what I paid for the darn thing!
