this depends on your components, what brand is your motherboard for example?, if it is Gigabyte, then go to www.gigabyte.com, may i suggest a program?

Have you tried updating your sound drivers? You can click Start, then type in the box, devmgmt.msc , to see what your computer has.
Acer really seems to like Realtek cards. http://www.realtek.com.tw for the drivers -- probably the "High Definition Audio Drivers" is what you want, if you have the realtek card.
it should autmatickly allocate the ram try taking out one module booting up windows shut down than put the other one in my acer aspire 4720z aka peace of **** only sees 1300 still so plez help if you figure how my email [email protected] plez
