uhh it obiously cant take that resolution maby it can try install a new driver if that does work sorry it can take that high of a resolution

Hi friend, In this case I would like you to please try and connect any other monitor to the system and check if you have the same dull screen in the other one.
If it has the dull display too then I would recommend you to please update the video drivers for the system.
If the display is fie on the other one, then I believe the life of the CRT tube of the monitor has ended and there is a need to buy a new monitor

This is Monitor Problem.you need an monitor service engineer.the problem is in Horizontal Deflection yoke/Horizontal output transistor section.

connect internet then right click on my computer then click on properties then click on device maneger then right click on monitor then click on properties then select drivers and click on update driver it will automatically install the driver by searching web

Please check following

1. Check You have pluged the speak output pin properly.if not put into the output socket.
2. Click on my computer property \advance\hardware and check any red colour showing for sound driver not detected. if yes the you can install the driver properly
3. Check your speaks are working properly, if not change and buy new one.

If your are installing Realtek drivers in winXP then leave it and install windows VISTA for few days then reinstall win XP again and try to install sound drivers again. May It would work on your PC like it worked on my own PC..

Download Belarc Adviser, install it and run the program. This will tell you lots of things about your computer, Under "Display" it will tell you what kind of graphics card you are using.
It will probably be ATI or nVIDIA. Download and install the latest driver for your card. Be careful that you install the correct one.
For example, if it says nVidia, go here for the latest driver.

After you have installed the latest driver for your graphics card, you can change the display settings to work in 1024*768.
You do this by right-clicking on the desktop and clicking Properties. You will find the settings there.

sound like you have bad solder connections, sometimes the break is so small they can be hard to find. Unplug the unit for a short while & take it apart to look for bad connections, most likely they will be on the main board. Monitors have more shielding ( to remove interfearance) so it typically is a little harded to repair a monitor than a tv. good luck
