Lamp Time Reset for Samsung TVs

This is a quick reference guide to show you how to reset your
Samsung DLP TV’s lamp hour meter or hour counter.
Resetting the counter is a very simple procedure.

Begin with the TV powered off

Point your remote towards your TV

Press:
Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power

Your TV set should now say “Loading Factory”

Browse down to “Option” then press Enter
(or the right cursor button)

NOTE:
The Mute+1+8+2 buttons needs to be pressed down consecutively and fairly quickly. If your TV does not enter the service menu after using this combination, you can substitute MENU instead of MUTE. I think that’s a better way to do it.. Also, the right cursor arrow also acts as the ENTER button, so try it if you’re having difficulty with the ENTER button

To exit the service menu, hit press the EXIT button or just turn off your
TV (remember not to turn on your TV immediately afterward!)

How do i unlock the panel lock on samsung portable combi tv vhs model no:TE-14N5

Hello

Unlocking your Samsung TV requires access to the Samsung TV service menu, which will allow you to reset or remove any previous lock in the settings. In order to unlock your Samsung TV you will need your remote control. All you have to do is simply follow the instructions provided below and you can use the service menu to guide you from there. Also note that upon entering the Service Menu, all User Menu settings will revert to factory default

Steps To Unlock A Samsung TV 1. Turn the power off.
2. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence.
3. You should now see the service menu. To exit the Service Menu always select RESET.
You must have its orginal remote control with you to perform these functions. If you haven't it with you, contact Samsung Electronics at your country.
OK.

I had a similar problem and the way to solve this is to reset the set from the remote. Set TV to standby and press Info, menu, mute then power. The set should turn on with the service menu available scroll down until you select reset press right hand arrow next to enter and then enter. TV will turn off. When switched on it goes into Plug and Play mode to reset the analogue and digital tuner. Allow a full reset then you should be ok.
