The black toner needs replacing but I can't get to it. The Cyan toner is at the front and I can't move it round to get to the black! It's an Epson Aculaser C1100

there maybe a cartridge replacement button to drag the print head etc out of the way so you can get at the cartridges.

I hope this was helpful

How do you remove the other cartridges from the Epson Aculaser C1100? The Cyan cart is at the rear and easily accessable. I cannot see any levers, etc to access other cartridges and the download setup does...

On the left hand side is a lever. Pull down door 'A' and on the Left hand side you will see the arrow indicating the toner guide placement.
Directly to the left of this is a slot. Insert a biro (screwdriver or whatever fits) into it and push the lever UP to allow free rotation of the drum assembly.

Have installed new epson black ink cartridge in c1100 printer. unable to press down locking bar on this new cartridge

Try re-inserting it again, L/H side should go in slightly ahead of the R/H. Give it a push & wiggle and it should lock in. An alternative method of fitting the cartridge is to open the top cover & remove the PCU. With the front cover shut you can rotate the cartridge "carousel" until the black is in the 2 O'clock poition when looking from the R/H side of the printer. You can now insert and lock the cartridge into place.

Epson Aculaser Need to bring faulty cartridge to front

On the LCD display choose the 'Reset Menu' Then within that menu keep going through the options till you get to 'Change Toner M' (if it is Magenta). Once you select the appropriate 'Change Toner' it will rotate to offer the correct toner.

Changed the photoconductor unit on epson aculaser c1100

Hi, the E511 is caused by the printer not "sensing" rotation of the PCU drum & transfer belt (TRO Sensor error). It could be the PCU was faulty. First thing to try is to open the top cover and remove the PCU. Be careful not to expose the drum to bright light, avoid touching it if possible and be very careful not to scratch it. Using thumb pressure at the edges of the drum check it rotates. On the underside of the PCU is a little cut-out window, rotate the transfer belt until you see a little silver square appear. Give this a good clean with a soft cloth. Inside the printer you will see a little sensor sticking up (TRO Sensor) that aligns with this cut-out, give this a clean too. Hopefully your problem is now fixed.

Epson aculaser c1100

What you hoovered off is the developer. This is required by the print process. Hoovering it off means there is no way for the toner to get onto the paper. You must replace all the developer units and possibly the toner too. It will be cheaper to by a new printer i think.

You could try a claim on your insurance if you are covered for accidental damage.

In future, maybe you should call an engineer - it is usually cheaper than a new printer.
