I cant install printer usb port is damage

Hi,
Which USB port Damage because there are two USB port available.
One is Printer USB port or Sec is PC USB port.
If you are say PC USB port not working first you check it USB driver installed or not, or USB connect to motherboard or not. PC there are two side USB available one is front side and sec is back side. You connect only back side, because this USB connect to main board. So you connect only back side. If not working removed driver or installed driver.
Or if you are say printer USB then change cable or port or not solved only change option.

ASUS P4SDX USB Ports not recognized as USB2 HS Ports

The message comes up when a USB 2 device is connected to a slower USB 1 or 1.1 port. It is only to advise you that the devise will operate faster on a USB 2 port. If your computer has only USB 1 or 1.1 ports, you will always see the message. You can buy and install a card with USB 2 ports and install it. It will come with the USB 2 drivers. Install the card and the drivers and then connect your USB 2 device to the new hardware and you should not see the message anymore.

Good luck, And let me know ho it works out for you.

USB Connections

when you put a device on the usb slot the system will detect and check what is the device then after it identifies the device it will load the necessary drivers for it. it is possible that the system is loading a corrupt driver to drive the usb device resulting to a system halt. it could be a driver related in storage devices such as thumb drives that is causing the problem.

try to update the usb drivers using the update driver option on your device manager on usb controller.

When I plug in my Zen Micro to the PC to chage all i get is the flashing charge signal but the devices does not recgharge. This is the same USB that i have used successfully on another PC. it also wont...

I use to have that little player and i remember how it could be tricky on different computers.

from http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27711

If these don't work please report back:
4. If the Zen is not detected by or charging from the computer when connected, make sure you are using a USB port on the back of the computer (built into the motherboard) instead of one wired to the case (front or side). That way you are using a USB port with the proper power output.

5. If the Zen is not detected by or charging from the computer when connected, make sure the USB port you are using are USB 2.0 and not v1.1. If you computer is a newer computer, this shouldn't be a problem, but if it is an older computer, it may only have USB 1.1 ports which doesn't output enough power as USB 2.0 ports.

6. If the Zen is not detected by or charging from the computer when connected, make sure you have no other USB devices plugged into the computer (front and back ports), but the Zen. That may be worth a try to see if you can get enough current from the USB ports to begin charging it again. Usually the more devices you have plugged into the USB ports, the less current that will be available for charging due to the power being shared with all other devices plugged in.

7. If the Zen is not detected by or charging from the computer when connected, make sure that the drivers are loading for it properly under Device Manager (no conflicts showing). I believe the Zen will not be detected or begin charging unless its drivers are loaded and working properly.

Usb port ceases to work when any device connected to second port

As you stated the device works in one slot but not the other , tells you there is problem with that usb port , don't use those ports , best thing to do is purchase a PCI USB card if you need more USB ports .

USB powerloss?

As you have already stated that the port in question can run a standard optical mouse, the port seems to be working fine.

Sometimes the drivers for a USB device need to be installed for each USB port. Maybe you have installed these drivers for 3 of your 4 USB ports, but not for the one in question, result of which is the problem you face.
