I replaced the screen on the Asus tf300 tablet. After reassembly it wouldn't charge. I replaced the internal charger cable because it had bad pins. Plugged in the charger and got two flashing orange lights and then nothing. Now it is completely dead, wont charge, wont turn on, nothing and no lights at all......Please help.

Hi, it seems that battery is totally discharged, that could be the reason of dead table. It should be good if you could check the connectors where the internal charger cable is connected, maybe one or both are damaged too.

SOURCE: THE TABLET BATTERY DRAINED DEAD NOW IT WONT POWER

Have the power adaptor checked by an electrician, most probably you will need a replacement.

If you establish that the adaptor is working, then something happened to the battery charging circuitry in your Asus and it will need repair.

If it's still under warranty, then you are good, otherwise it would be better if the adaptor alone failed, as replacement adaptors are rather inexpensive compared to laptop repairs.

SOURCE: My asus transformer tf300 won't turn on

It is possible you got into APX mode (for transferring files with the device not in the OS using NVFlash. Great if you bricked a device). This mode is Hold VOL UP and tap POWER. In this case, you can try to use the Reset Hole on the left side of the Asus TF300 (between the microHDMI and microSD card). Try it for 3-5 seconds. Another thing you could do is hold the power button for 30 seconds, release, hold it for 3 seconds and see if it boots.

The last thing you could do is hold VOL DOWN and POWER for about 12-15 seconds until some small text appears in the top left.

My tablet won't charge

First try to charge it with a different charger, and test the factory charger on another device (you tablet may have the common micro USB connector). This will test if the charger or cable are bad. But if the tablet will not charge with a different charger and cable, and it is still covered under the factory warranty, return it for a refund or a replacement.

I have repaired many tablets with a bad charger port, and it seems to be either a poorly designed connector, or an open wire inside due to pushing in too ******* the cable into the port.

if you cannot replace the tablet, maybe you can find help from someone who can open the tablet and fix the charger port.

Lost charger to Asus transformer pad tf300t was wondering if I could charge it through the USB port located on the side of the docking station

No, that is not possible. That's because you need an ASUS-specific charging cable to charge either the tablet or the dock/keyboard (or the docked combination of the two). You can however use any charger with a USB-port that outputs at least 2 Amperes. So you need to buy a new ASUS charging cable (and a suitable charger, if you don't have one already)

Digiland tablet won't charge. Is there a way to

Depends upon exactly what's happening.

  • When you plug in your charger, does it try to charge the Tablet? ie Does the Charging icon come on the screen briefly when the charger is plugged in with the Tablet turned off, or does the little charging 'lightning' symbol come onto the battery icon on the home screen when the Tablet is running?
  • I assume the battery has gone flat, but will the Tablet turn on when the charger is connected?
If the charging icon comes on, and/or the tablet will run on the charger, then both the charger and the charge port connection on the Tablet are OK, and the most probable cause of failure is the internal battery which will need to be replaced.

However, If neither the icon comes on nor the Tablet runs on the charger, then either the charger has died, or the plug/socket on the Tablet where it connects is faulty. The most likely cause is that the charger has died and will neeed to be replaced

There is a slight chance that the internal charging circuits in the Tablet may have developed a fault, but that is highly unlikely {:o)

7" touch andoid tablet won't charge

It may be the charger has a loose wire. In that case a new charger would fix the problem. Mine has a problem with the charging port itself. I am fortunatly that my tablet is under warrenty they are going to replace the tablet for me.

Did you put a new battery in it or did you buy it used? Because it doesn't like the battery.
