I purchased my tv 1 and a half years ago. HLR-5667. Pixles mostly purple in color are on the top half of the tv. there is a distinct line where pixilation begin and ends. The bottom half of the tv is flawless. The worse when I use Picture in Picture. Could this be my bulb? Thanks for help in advance

Tv is on every day and watches 4 to 5 hours every day?Yes,3 years now the projection lamp require replacement again and the board that call the Ballast board might require replacement too, this Ballast board only job is it to ignite the projection lamp only..
that sounds like your LCD controller, since the LCD screen is so big, they will "split" the screen into 2 smaller screens, otherwise it would be so outrageously expensive to have one big massive lcd controller. Your lcd controller is most likely a two-in-one card though, meaning that there are 2 controllers on one board. You'll more than likely need a new controller card for your tv.
