Ink out problem.

I have my black ink cartridge full while the others are empty. When I go to print my black and white only paper, I get an error saying I have to replace the color cartridges. So far I have found no way to print off my papers on my black ink solely. If there are any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. PS: The ink/paper service light is lit on the Epson with a Error Ink Out screen on boot as well.

Http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml go there first and download that. Next, either buy new cartridges, or go to your local cartridge world and buy refills. Now using the program I posted the link for, configure it, do a soft reset, and then freeze your ink levels. Please email me @ [email protected] and I'll go more into how to do it.

I have a brother fax machine model 2480c, just want to know for the ink catridge, do i need full ink in the entire 4 catridge in order for the printer to work OR i can just have say the black colour...

1) The Brother printer is structured in such a way that it will stop all the printing operations if any one of the ink cartridges are empty.

2) If the printer continues printing inspite of having anyone empty cartridge then the cleaning cycles would suck air from the empty cartridge.

3) This would damage the print head.
However, the black and white print mode can operate exceptionally well when the cartridges are empty.

Changed out black ink screen says insert

It will be a hardware printing problem mostly. Try cleaning the parts with alcogol or/and elastic rubber. Also try to increase the force of contact with a sticky tape or like that.
