I got a LG race car phone and the car kit stays on it

Gently bend it like you're trying to split it with screen facing upwards or squeeze around the camera. Amusing solution but it works. recalibrate your touch settings afterwards (menu>settings>touch settings) for perfect operation

My lg pop gd510 touch screen is not working, it happend when we first had the phone but we took it back as it was on worinty now its off worinty, its still in perfect condion

Try taking it to a Verizon Wireless store for troubleshooting. This problem appears to be more than just the battery, as fully charging it did not help.

try putting a toothpick in the earpiece socket. It worked for me in seconds.

Sounds like your phone needs to be replaced. When a phone wont come off of car kit, it means that there is something wrong with it. My friend had this same phone, and verizon told her to replace it. Its an older model phone, so I'm guessing you have had it for some time. There is a chance that you could have it fixed, but it would probably cost you more to do that than to just get a new one. I have the same phone. I have had that same problem before. What i did to fix it was to take a blowdryer (on the cool setting -not warm or hot) and take the battery out and blow the phone with it. The reason it says carkit is because moisture got into the phone somehow. Mine first started saying carkit when my friend dunked my phone in a cup of water. I hope this helps you with your phone. Also if the blowdryer doesnt work then try using a can of pressurized air.

ok take a paper clip, and lightly graze it inside the chargerport of ur phone, slowlymove it left and right, lightly rub it against the top half of the little piece inside the charger port, look at yr creen andwait for car kit to turn off. if ur phone turns off, dw. turn it backon adn dont rub the area u were rubbing wen it turned off.
once car kit turns off, it most likely will turn back on, repeat thisstep. eventually,it will go away forever.
it took about a day for the car kit to stay away completely for me.
trust me, i've been were u are. i tried everything and it never worked. then wen all hoped seem lost, at 11:30 at night, i found this and it worked beautiful.
also, u dont need to use a paper clip, anything metal will work. but paper clips the best because of there size.=]

the problem is in the port where you plug in the charger.. one of the little pieces inside there is broken or out of place... try GENTLY messing around with it with something pointy..( I just used a big pointy knife) With mine it was the last little poky thing in there that was frayed... it works fine now tho... Good luck...

MY LG flip just did the same thing. I took it in and they said there was some corrosion in the battery charger area from water. They had to replace my entire phone. I have a 15 month old that plays with it.
