your os is scr ewed up,you need to repair windows or boot from disk,,i have the discs,you should too

To repair missing or corrupted system file/s, boot up with the Windows installation CD then - Press R to repair when instructed. Press 1 or Enter to repair the C:\Windows folder. Then type chkdsk /r and then press Enter. The repair process will take quite a long time.

Well this means one of important files needed to start Windows is corrupted (it's a registry file).
I'd recommend repairing Windows installation. If you have Windows XP and also the Original Windows CD follow: this guide.

try starting in safe mode by pressing f8 key on system boot ,
looks like you may have hdd problem, if you get message 0disks filling the screen hdd needs replacing

So then i click r at the first screen and nothing happens...It keeps on repeating to repair on and on with the same message after i clicked r. I can't even access to the window...what can i do???

Do you have the XP cd or the recovery cd's. This needs to be fixed by performing a Windows repair.
missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system"means that the OS,XP, is missing an essential file to run.
Or it could mean that your hard drive is failing. Is the hard drive noisey?
