Well alot of the time there is a issue with the formating that the camera does on the stick and also when formating it on the computer it formats it another way as well. some in FAT and some in FAT32 this is ushally a error for the most part I would definatly plug your duo stick into a card reader and then go to my computer and the find the drive that the stick is in and right click on it and go to properties and do a error check on the stick to make sure that there is no errors. and if you can defragment after the scan then by all means do it and then format the card and try it and hopefully it will work out to your advantage.
*note this problem seems to only happen with the non branded duo sticks not the sony branded ones.*

Files on a flash drive and memory cards in a card reader can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the memory card and flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

Do you have an adapter that you can use to plug it into your computer? If you do ... try formatting and defragging the chip with your windows tools.

Well, it seems as though this camera can only take 128MB sticks, but they are cheap if you can find them. Also, capitalizing everything does no good as it makes a post hard to read, shouts, and will get ignored by a lot of people.

I am so sorry my friend, you have same problem as we all have, no memory bigger that 1 gb will work in cameras older than 3 years, I think yours is yes? the camera simply does not see those, sad I know, but that is how it is, I know because I have 3, yes 3 adaptors and 3 big mem bits here, and my money is lost.

Hi,
In DSCT1 Camera, the C:13:01 error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camera. In C:13:01, the issue is with the Memory Stick being used in the Camera.
The Symptoms are:
Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB is not compatible with the DSCF707 Camera. Maximum capacity supported by the Camera is up to 128MB. Please try using a MS with 128 MB and check if it works. A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached to use Memory Stick Duo or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media.
Thanks.
