Had a similar problem with our Kenmore front load washer, our grandson was caught leaning on door while it was open and it bent the hinge slightly, this misalignment resulted in the latch mechanism trying to lock the door shut( needed as a safety measure to prevent leakage) but it was unable to do so. Had limited luck with lifting the door while shutting it and holding it closed while pushing the start button,but eventually had to replace hinge. Parts man at service desk also advised not to hang wet heavy items on door (don't know why anyone would want to) as the same thing could happen,also don't try slamming door as that could result in costly latch replacement. Click on the link for wiring diagram. Do you have the rear windows locked-out by the master switch, note the diagram.
Is there a wiring harness on hinge side of rear door, probably has a protective rubber boot covering. If problem isn't the lock out switch on the driver door, then we will have to check voltage and ground at wiring harness.

Due pulling of the door forcibly the door interlock switch has damaged. So the door cannot lock properly &r the door lock switch is not functioning. Replace the door interlock switch.

DL f is a door lock error and is caused due to an issue with the door lock when it is unable to lock/unlock. Please check the door lock mechanism/door switch assembly and replace the part that has gone bad so that the problem is solved. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

More than likely has a broken wire or wires in a door harness.
Near the hinges for each door there is a rubber boot that contains the door wiring harness. This is where the wires are always bending when the door is opened and closed, and commonly wires will break there. Pull back each boot and look at the wires. They can be spliced right there, but the best solution is to replace the door harness if there are multiple breaks.

I have an older Whirlpool and there is a door lock micro switch down inside, mounted on a bracket that opens when the door is shut, that is the throw comes out when the door is shut.

That micro switch has a plastic throw that sticks when it is depressed and did not function.

You have to remove the top of the machine to get to this switch, that is accomplished by removing the two clips on the back of the machine and using a flat blade (putty Knife?) inserted in the front seam, prise up and the front wedge fit clips will release. Prop up the top so as not to disturb the timer wires and such.

Look down in the machine near the hinges and find the micro switch. Replace or try squirting some WD40 on the throw so that it does not stick.

Be sure to disconnect the 220V plug before any work is done.

A sharp blow with the side of a fist may jar it loose, delivered near the hinges, which may prove that it is the switch.

You will need to remove the door panel to gain access to the handle. Roll the window up or down as needed to get to the nuts that attach the handle to the door. You will also need to remove a rod the goes to the door lock. You will see the rod after the door panel is removed. Good luck.
