TV won't display anything. Screen goes white.

if your question is that if cable or sat converter goes off for any reason , will your tv display a black screen , then the answer is yes , without an input most all tv sets will display the opposite of full white , this being full black , also any on screen displays might not work as well (no video to sync too)

Either its back light inverter board, or, the LVDS cable has the fault. First try by re-seat the LVDS cable, and check. Thus you can make sure about the fault. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

I have been having just about the same problem with mine, i can watch the tv for about 20 min and then the dvd player comes on by itself then it goes to red, green, yellow, and black and white, i've tried resetting the dvd player to default but it hasn't helped mine.When i try to turn it off it automaticly comes back on so i have to unplug it.If i find a way to make mine work right i will send you a message to let you know so you can try it on yours. I've had mine just over a year and i don't have a warrenty anymore.

It is LCD Panel (screen) problem, call Sony and ask for warranty cover to replace lcd panel.

There doesn't appear to be a solution. I have had to send mine off to be repaired. They don't provide a camera case but it is a very necessary piece of aquipment. I was told that the screen had been pressed. I can only think that this occured when travelling on the bus when someone has sat next to me. Olympus should supply a camera case.

You can update graphics driver, if that does not fix the issue check the display on external monitor. If the external monitor works fine you can isolate checking the display in BIOS Setup scree (Restart your computer and keep tapping F10 to getinto BIOS). If the same issue in BIOS, you may have to change display of the unit.

Can you adjust aperture in manual mode?
If no, then aperture drive is jammed/broken in the lens.
If yes but it doesn't change anything, then CCD can't process light correctly and needs replacement.

You will need to replace the power supply or get fix because there aren't too many service parts available anymore.
