When setting up xr8600 is it best to start mains and monitors master at 0DB?

1. Turn the main and monitor volumes all the way down (off). Plug a cd player into channel 9/10 and play a track of music of your liking. With the main/monitor volumes still off, adjust the gain on 9/10 until the clip light turns on, then back it down until the clip light just turns off. Put the channel volume at 12 o' clock.
2. With the music still playing, turn up the mains to the desired listening level first, and then adjust the graphic eq until the music sounds good in the room. Remember or mark the position of the volume control. Do not use the channel eq on 9/10 for music that has been mastered properly, leave the eq flat. Once this step is completed then you have now set the main eq.
3. Repeat the same for monitors. Turn off the main volume and then bring up the monitor main volume to the desired level first, then set eq. Now your monitor eq is set properly. Remember or mark the position of the monitor volume.
4. Set up microphone - plug a mic into channel 1 with volume all the way down. Speak or sing into the microphone and adjust the GAIN until you see the clip light, then back down a litttle on the gain. Put the monitor and main volumes back up to the mark from step 2. Now adjust the volume and monitor send on the mic channel to the desired loudness first before adjusting the mic channel eq. Use subtractive eq method to minimize distortion and feedback. ...i.e. if the mic is bassy then turn down the lows, do not ADD highs. If the mic needs bass, turn down the highs.

Gm3188 mobile radio

This could be one of a variety of problems:
1. Bad speaker
2. No receive
3. You are on an unprogrammed channel
4. You have a bad volume potentiometer (dead spot in the on/off/vol)
5. Another internal issue

Try going to monitor mode and see if you can hear the white noise typical of being on monitor. If not, you could have problem 1, 2 or 4.
Try adjusting the volume and see if the radio works at a different volume level. If so, you have a problem with the volume pot.

Best regards.

Monitors not audible with Behringer 1680S

Assuming you're trying to power the monitors from this unit as well as the mains.....Confirm that the amp switch is in the middle position which splits the internal amps....one for main and one for monitors. Output A would power the monitors.... B would power the mains.

I bought the amp a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly for a couple of days and then for some reason the controlls just froze. the tap tempo light went out and the channel control light stayed the same...

Exercise your warranty IMMEDIATELY since you just bought it! If you bought this used, you LIKELY bought someone else's problem. The problem is likely in the digital effects area... probably a bad cable contact... but if under warranty DO NOT mess with it... return it for replacement or repair.

I have a Fender 2x12 Hot Rod Deville. The clean channel seems to be working fine but the overdrive channel is not. I have to turn it up all the way in oder to get just a little bit of sound. So that...

For the Drive channel you need to use the Drive control AND the MASTER volume control. When the Drive channel is active, the Channel Indicator lamp should be RED indicating the Drive Channel is active. The Drive control knob is used to adjust the preamp volume and distortion level of the Drive Channel. This gives you a clue as to what to check if adjusting the controls doesn't work -- the preamp tubes. Having said that, ONLY try to check these tubes with the amp OFF! Never stick your hand up into the chassis of a live amp. It could be lethal. Your preamp tubes are the ones farthest from where the power cord enters the chassis. They have a rubber like stabilizer on them. They have a tendency to wiggle loose, which is part of the reason for the stabilizer. Again, if you're not familiar with the insides...stay out and get an amp tech to help you.

The Normal Channel only uses the Volume Control to adjust volume.

dirty switch. I took my 2009m apart and cleaned the switches with alcohol on a qtip and the problem's gone. Not too hard to do. Leverage the case gently with a putty knife or something and it will pop open. Then pop around the edge to remove the back completely.

My volume is not working correctly. I have it turned up to 100 - the highest and I can barely hear it.

Monitor volume is affected by TWO volume controls (or even three...)
1: Volume on the monitor can be set to 80%
2: Main Volume on the COMPUTER can be set to your liking.
3: Wave volume on the computer mixer settings should be set for 80% (See Sound on your control panel or right click your volume control near the clock)

If all these are right and the volume is still low, check that the audio is not set for surround 5 or 7 channel and the monitor audio connector is plugged into the REAR green connection on the computer.

Still problems, the audio driver in the monitor is shot.

Not playing

the volume control does give you more control on the volume of the speakers but yea if you just get a cable going from one end to the other and it doesnt have a volume control it will work no problem just control the volume from the task bar, it will work i can guarantee that because i have the same speakers and i tried it out and works perfectly fine, you cant tell the difference because there isnt one just control from task bar!

Westinghouse LTV-32w4 HDC - adjustment buttons unresponsive, volume drop, etc.

plug your cable connection to a vcr "in" then run a seperate cable cord from the vcr "out" to your television (which should be on channel 3 or 4) depending on your vcr setting and use the vcr to control the channel so when your westinghouse freezes and becomes unresponsive you could still change the channel and so on through your vcr and tv acts like a monitor works for me. N.B be sure to set the volume and so on before it freezes which could be like a 1min window from turning your tv on
