SOURCE: when i try to print anything, i get a message 241 paper jam,
this is most likely to be worn pick up rollers. these are the two rubber wheels that you can see underneath the printer when you remove the tray. you should be able to source these from a local suplier and are very easy to fit. just make sure your gentle with the clip that holds them in place as if they break then you will need to buy a whole new pick up assembaly which is significantly more expensive.
hope this helps
Pete

Check the paper tray guides, check the the paper feed roller (remove the tray and look up in the printer) it is possibly worn and needs replacing, you can try to clean it (hand soap is as good as anything)

I'll bet that if you put a mark on the top sheet of paper in tray one and then send a print job or run a self test you will see that the paper stays in tray one. I suspect that you have a paper pick problem.
Worn or slick rollers can be one source or a weak tray supports. Also, take the paper out of tray one and fan the paper to break any static that may cause the paper to stick together.

SOURCE: Getting the message
Hi,
Turn the printer upside down and shake to find any paper jam as in most cases you will find some paper or dust falling out and then try.
Lexmark T630 241 paper jam message - Indicates a paper jam from the pull down manual feed tray.
If you check to make sure and small fragments of paper are not hindering the operation of the switch. The switch is located on the left side of the tray and will be spring loaded. The switch should move freely without binding. Make sure no toner or dust is on the optical sensor assembly. See Diagram for location.
If the switch seems OK and the printer still reports an error, the printer will require professional care.
