X1000 takka

There are many on eBay. You can pick and choose which one's you want and do not have to buy the one's you will not use. You can also buy any other pieces that you need, break or were missing. Most people do not even know that the machine has sausage and cannoli fillers!

I need a phone number or web address to order replacement dies for the primo pasta PS101 that I bought second hand and has only 1 die

I have an easier way since they are no longer in business. Measure your diameter of the die. Compare the size online to Popeil or Takka. Then go on eBay and buy any dies for lots of pasta types. There are 2 sizes of dies other than Kitchenaid who has very small dies and the Cuisinart who has very thick. Give it a try and you can return them if they do not fit. Well worth the effort to have what you want.

CPSC, Creative Technologies Corp. Announce Recall to Replace Lids on Pasta Machines

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Creative Technologies Corp. of Brooklyn, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 50,000 pasta machines to replace some of their lids. When the safety cutoff switch on the lid does not activate, consumers' fingers can be severely injured if their hand is placed into the mixing bowl.

CPSC and Creative Technologies are aware of 11 incidents of the machine unexpectedly turning on, resulting in nine injuries including cut, crushed and severed fingers.

The lid replacement program involves the Takka Pasta and Dough machine (model X1000), and the Pasta Express machines (models X2000, X3000 and X4000). Only pasta machines that have serial numbers up to 78209 are subject to this replacement program. The model and serial numbers are located on a label on the bottom of the machine. "Pasta Express TM by CTC" or "Takka Pasta and Dough by CTC" is on the front of the machine. The pasta machines are beige or white. Some machines have chrome-plated front panels. Through this voluntary recall, Creative Technologies will provide consumers with a replacement lid.

The machines are sold in cardboard boxes identifying the model of the machine. A photograph of the machine is on the front of the box.

Department stores, mail order catalogs and warehouse clubs nationwide sold the pasta machines from 1999 to present for between $90 and $200.

Consumers should stop using the pasta machines immediately and call IHW, Inc. (formerly Creative Technologies) at (718) 492-8400. The company will help consumers determine whether their pasta machine is subject to this replacement program and, if necessary, will provide a free replacement lid.

My MPC Transport x1000 just lost all power. I can't power it up on battery or AC adapter. This happened once before and we took it in for a repair, but by the time the technician got around to working on...

It sounds like the power circuit on the motherboard has stopped working (that would explain why niether battery or wall adapter make it work.) Without a motherboard repalcement, this laptop probably won't work again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you have gotten quite a few years out of it :)

Compaq Presario X1000 laptop

have a look on the web for the "X1000 Maintenance and Service Guide", which contains full disassembly instructions. All you need is a cross-head screw driver and a bit of patience. The Graphics Card (an ATI Mobility Radeon 9200) has a couple of screws and then just plugs into the motherboard - no soldering required! You can usually find these cards at reasonable prices at a well known auction site.
