Blinking timer light and cannot turn on

How many times does the LED blink? Does it blink 6 times, pauses, and repeats? Or is it some other number of blinks? Or does it just blink continuously, once a second? (Note: on Mitsubishi's it is normal for the TV to blink rapidly for about 90 seconds after you plug the TV in, while the TV runs internal self-tests.) If the LED continues to blink continuously after 90 seconds, then the problem is on the DM board. There are 4 electrolytic capacitors, grouped together. I believe they are either 820 uF (mfd - microfarads) or 1000 uF at 16 Volts. If you check them, you will see that their tops are swollen (slightly rounded; not flat across). They will check okay with a capacitance meter or ESR meter, but don't believe your meter! Replace those 4 capacitors with either 820 or 1000 uF capacitors rated at either 16 or 25 volts. Make sure you use good, high-temperature (105 deg C) low-ESR capacitors. I recommend the "FM Series" capacitors from Digi-Key corporation, part number P12366-ND or P12379-ND. Less than $1.00 apiece. Good luck!

Honeywell minifridge not cooling, blinking, funny sounds

there is a 1000 Uf electrolytic capacitor on the power supply unit that was bought from a bad supplier. It's suffered a failure as they ALL did. Replacing it with a new 1000 Uf capacitor 16 volts or higher will fix it. Just remember they are polarity sensitive. i found mine at the dump and fixed it in less then 1 hour. The top of it will be bulging out and it could even leak

Hit power button the screen flashes on for a second then goes black again.

I just repaired one.... will likely require that you replace 3 X 220 uf 25 volt capactiros and 2 X 1000 uf 25 volt capacitors. can't miss them the tops are swelled up. but the monitor appears to work now... not bad for 5 bucks worth of parts.

ILO DVDr05

As long as the voltage rating is higher, not lower, it is fine, actually better, especially since this seems to be a fairly common problem, the capacitors used may not have a high enough rating to survive transients that may occur. As long as you are replacing them, I would use a higher rating, to make it more robust.

GATEWAY FLAT SCREEN

Most likely one or two faulty capacitors in the power supply.
If you open the unit, they are cylinders with flat tops, if they are bulged at the top it means they are faulty.
Usually the faulty ones are rated 16 volts, 1000 uF.
Its safe to replace with 25 volt 1000uF (microfarad) ones.

The blue light of the monitor keep flash and no picture appears on the screen

I have exactly the same problem with my Medion 17" TFT monitor. It is not the video card (tried changing it) or the motherboard. Fitting a different monitor makes the problem go away. The monitor does not display the "No Signal" message when unplugged from the PC either. It must be a fault in the monitor, and as it seems to be a design fault. I suggest you contact Medion and nag for a replacement.
