You can go to best buy or a stereo shop they have wiring harnesses and fit kits for aftermarket CD player the wiring harness plugs into the stock wiring harness the u have to match the wires to the cd play

you should get a wiring harness to save you the trouble, however i just put in a kenwood in a 1997 thunderbird, if you cut the black wiring cover all the speaker wires are wrapped together and the other wires will be 12v constant acc, ground, etc. here is a diagram Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Green/Yellow

You can buy conversion harnesses from anyone that sells radios. It plugs into your factory plug and then you splice the aftermarket stereo wires to it.

New Yorker and Fifth Ave have different colors for RR speaker neg. Does either of these match up?

Don't fool around most all the stores that sell the aftermarket radios sell the adaper kit to plug it right in even Wal-Mart has some of them. The plug plugs into the factory wring plugs and the wires are marked just like the ones on the new radio B+ (neg) speaker right front pos and neg and so on. Crimpem on and plug em in and play right. No head scraching. Best but circuit city and other electronics stores that do car stero installs keep them in stock for all popular cars and light trucks

To avoid cutting or tapping into the vehicle wiring and to make a more professional installation, you may want to consider an aftermarket wiring harness. The one located at this link appears to be the correct one for your vehicle. Scosche, Metra and other make harnesses for most all vehicles. They are usually stocked and sold by local car audio shops, places like Best Buy, and many online retailers such as www.crutchfield.com and www.sonicelectronix.com.

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer,etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires.When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also,either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.

make sure the lines are not crossed and also check the condition of the drivebelt first

it is located behind the stock stereo up in the back farther and it look like a black box. The wires depend on the radio but if its a cd player go to like walmart and look at the radio wire harnesses and look for the one that'll work for your vehicle
