You will need to replace those rubber or neoprene seals (washers). Which means you will need to pull the dishwasher out and then tip it back about 45 degrees (or more) so you can work on it. Make sure the power cord is unplugged, then you can find and disconnect the wires that go to the heating element, then remove the heater nuts. Then you can pull the element out and replace those rubber washers (if you can get them - try SearsPartsDirect, or repairclinic.com). If you can't get them separately, you might have to order a complete new element which comes with new washers.
We had a similar problem,,,, if you reset the circuit breaker,,, may work, but if not, the dishwasher has a power/control board behind the front cover (6 large round screws) pull front cover off with handle and find smaller square cover,,under that is a board WITH POWER OFF remove board and look on back for a part that is discolored darker than rest of board,, you may or may not see it, this looks like a resister but believe it is a fuse,,, need to order new board from wherever,,, got mine from sears 160.00 worked and was cheaper than someone coming out to do the same thing for more money or buying a new dishwasher. good luck
if it is the drawer dishwasher, then first you need to take the front cover off carefully. Turn the mains power off and take the power plug out from socket if accessible. With a plier pull out the pins on each side of the drawer holding the front cover. Carefully pull out the front cover and leave it aside. Find where the drawer has come off the rails. Extend the rail arms on each side and try to replace the drawer on the guide rail and latch it back in. Make sure the controller and top display panel do not fall off when handling the drawer. Once the drawer is back on rail, put the top cover back and secure the pins from the sides. Put the mains power back.
The reason our Asko D3250 had this problem was because of a leak. The pump hose (approx. 2" black rubber hose - find it here http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Pump-Hose/8801409/1810263) was split, causing a leak and the blinking heavy wash light. The sensor did its job and picked up the leak. If you're handy you don't necessarily need to call a repairman in to accomplish the work. You don't need to pull the front of the dishwasher apart. Unplug the power to the dishwasher. Take off the back bottom panel. Next, test where the leak is coming from. Place pans below the holes found on the bottom of the dishwasher. They are visible when removing the back panel and are most likely at the rear of the dishwasher. Plug the power back in then start the dishwasher. If your problem is a leak, you will easily spot it with a flashlight. After ordering and installing your part, make sure to dry all water that has settled in the bottom of the dishwasher. You can easily accomplish this through the back of the dishwasher with the panel removed. If it's still damp the sensor will continue to detect water. Once dry, start the cycle to make sure there are no more leaks before reinstalling the panel.
Sounds like your electrician miswired your GFCI oulet. They probably pulled power for your dishwasher off of the 20 Amp small appliance circuit required in all kitchens. This could be simple or difficult to fix, depending on where exactly they pulled power from. You will need to trace the dishwasher wire back to find out which receptacle box they pulled power from. If they pulled it from the first GFI outlet, you're in luck. Simply pull out the GFI and move the dishwasher pigtail from the LOAD side of the GFI to the LINE side of the GFI. If they pulled the dishwasher circuit from a receptacle downstream of the GFI, you will have to pull a new circuit for the dishwasher from somewhere else, as switching the branch circuit from LOAD to LINE at the GFI would defeat the ground fault protection for all outlets downstream of the GFI. Before doing all this, make sure there are no shorts to the frame of the dishwasher that could be causing the GFI to trip in the first place. If you need more detailed instructions, let me know. I'd be happy to walk you through it.
If the tile was there when the dishwasher was installed, it should come out. Try pulling the dishwasher out as far as it will go then pry the dishwasher up on both sides at the back edge with a board (or maybe two, one on each side), then pull the dishwasher out.
This indicates your dishwasher has gone into flood mode possible cause is overfill or something obstructing top or bottom spray arms also if you have changed powder may be over sudsing. To clear turn off power to dishwasher pull dishwasher out without damaging hoses and lean back water will come out of sump clean up water and reinstall dish washer test to see if all is ok.
Assuming you are getting the F1 error in both drawers.
This means there is water at the base of the housing under the bottom drawer.
Turn power off and take the drawer out. You will have to pull out the plastic pins on either side and get the front cover off. This will enable you to pull the drawer out from the slide bar for better access. Use towels and hair dryer to get rid of all the water. The flood switch is mounted on the power board. Use hair dryer to dry this out.
Put everthing back and turn power on.
Post a comment if this is not fixed or the F1 is only coming in one of the drawers. Please rate this solution.
Simple solution. DO NOT spend the money on a tech coming to the house.
This error code comes from getting too much water in your machine, either from a dish filled with water emptying, or perhaps a clog from the sink that prevents your machine from draining. It is meant to prevent overflows from too much water being in the tub. It is a simple fix though!
First of all you should at least shut the power off on your machine. For the effort of a couple of more steps, it wouldn't hurt to shut the breaker off at the fuse panel. You will have to unscrew the undercounter tabs that mount the dishwasher to the countertop. They are located just under the counter sticking out from the top of the dishwasher when the door is open. Then proceed to pull out the dishwasher from under the counter. You will only have to pull it out about half way and you will find the overflow valve. It is located on the right side of the dishwasher just under the insulation and level with the lower hinge on the door. (Right side when you are looking at the machine.)
There are two overflow valves. One looks like a small cup, the other looks like a cylinder with a float in it like your toilet. Both of them have black rubber covers near the bottom. Take these covers off and about a quarter cup of water will flow out of these overflow basins. Allow them to completely empty, then replace the rubber drain covers and then replace the unit under the counter.
Once you turn the power on, the error code should be cleared and you are ready to use the dishwasher again.
