No ink is showing on he paper when printing or copying. I have changed ink cartridges, cleaned the nozzlesand tested the nozzles. Even during the tests no ink is printing. When I print it sounds like its printing but nothing shows p on the paper.

I seem to be having the same problem as Kevin except my black and yellow won't print. The cyan and magenta print on the nozzle check page. I have cleaned the nozzles, changed out the ink cartridges, uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it still won't print the black and yellow ink.

Hi Andy,

This helps remove the nag screen:

  1. Go to Printers and Faxes (or the equivalent screen that lists all your printers)
  2. Right click your CX6600 printer and choose "Printing Preferences"
  3. Click on the "Maintenance" tab
  4. Click on the "Speed & Progress" button
  5. Tick the "Disable EPSON Status Monitor" checkbox
  6. Click on OK
  7. Click on OK to close the Preferences window
That should sort you out and allow you to print in relative peace...

I press print. It acts all busy and loud. Prints NOTHING

If paper is feeding through and you don't get any errors try this: Try doing 4 to 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Running a printer operation check
If you are unable to determine the source of the problem, performing a printer operation check can help you determine whether the problem comes from the CX6600 or the computer.
To perform a printer operation check, follow these steps.
r_1.gif Disconnect the USB cable from your computer. r_2.gif Make sure that Letter-size paper is loaded in the sheet feeder. r_3.gif Press the fontp.gif On button to turn on the CX6600, and make sure the ! Error light is off. r_4.gif Press the Setup Mode button to enter Setup Mode. r_5.gif Press the A or the fontl1.gif/fontr1.gif Select button repeatedly until 3.Nozzle check appears on the LCD panel, then press the fontx1.gif Color button. The CX6600 starts printing. The CX6600 prints an operation check page that includes a nozzle check pattern.
Compare the quality of the printed test page with the sample shown below. If there are no print quality problems, the CX6600 is fine and the problem probably lies with the printer software settings, the application settings, the interface cable (be sure to use a shielded cable), or the computer itself.

If the test page does not print satisfactorily, there is a problem with the CX6600. For example, if bands appear in the check

Epson CX6600 printer error

Remove the Print ink cartriges. Get a new bottle of windex and using a eye dropper place some windex on the post where the ink sits. also place some windex on the area that the printer uses to clean the print heads. leave it for an hour or two, You might have to do this several times. If problem persists do above treatment and leave over night. Hope this helps.
