I replaced a factory stereo in my 2004 dodge durango with a used factory replacement. It worked fine. But now the durango won't start. The dash lights flash a few times and there is a clicking noise, but then nothing.

1. Remove right side scuff plate.
2. Pull back carpet.
3. Disconnect blower motor wiring connector.
4. Remove blower motor retaining screws, and lower blower motor assembly from unit housing.

check that the caliper slides are free and that you refiited the anti squel plates on the back of the new pads

Does your key have a chip on it? If it does its probably the problem

Check the battery first. Just because the lights are on doesn't mean it has enough power to start the van. If you or the van has a volt meter, the battery should read at least 13-14 volts to be good. If the battery is good then the alternator is good and we move on to the starter solenoid. I'm sure it's one of these. Do the lights go off or very dim when you turn the key? If so then battery.
