Whirlpool Ultimate Care II is very temperamental!

1. Sometimes it works fine. Getting more rare.
2. Sometimes the water drains out as it is coming in (filling) and will continue to do this for hours if not caught.
3.Sometimes the cycle will start when knob is pulled out and sometimes it won't. It will also stop in the middle of a cycle (between filling and agitating for example) and stay there indefinitely.
4.If I bang the lid down and/or rotate the knob to other parts of the cycle or other cycles, it sometimes starts. Sometimes I have to do this repeatedly. (Admittedly this probably isn't the best thing to do :) but hey, we need clean clothes occasionally!

Thank you, we just tried repositioning the hose, it seemed like some pressure was released and the machine is filling without draining right now. Thank you so much! The connections on the timer seem to be tight, so we'll order a new one as well as a lid switch. Now we just need to figure out how to remove the timer.I really appreciate your help, this has been a major annoyance!

#2. The drain hose is too low or no air gap where it enters the wall drain.

#3. Could be a bad timer or just loose connections. Open the control panel and unplug then replug the timer wire harness.

#4.Bad lid switch. It must be replaced.

Whirlpool ultimate care II stops after filling

Hi, could be faulty timer, faulty water level switch, faulty start capacitor for motor, or faulty motor. always put clothes in machine before starting. you can empty machine by lowering drain hose to flow level.

The motor will not spin..... can i have a diagram of a motor of ultimate care ii washing machine

The typical problems with "the motor will not spin" is a:

1. Lid-switch (very frequent): Will not drain, incomplete cycling, switch ultimately passes power to motor.
2. Belt or coupling (very frequent) - Belt moves when motor spins
3. Timer/control board (rare)
4. Tranmission (rare)
5. Motor (somewhat rare)

How do you know the actual motor is not spinning? Do you mean, the tub not spinning? Do you have a noise as if the motor is spinning?

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II will not fill up with water.

ck drain hose end of hose should be at least 30-36 inches from floor also end of hose needs to fit loosely in standpipe ..if drainhose is too tight siphoning will occur

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II keeps taking water.

ck your drain nose/drainline, chances are you have along hose, perhaps even draining along the floor behind hte unit, into a "closed" drain system. in which cawee the wwater is syphoning out during the rinse cycle, youlll needt o raise the drain hose to above 48" and have it drain into a stand pipe to prevent siphoning effect
