Need to check with your carrier/srvice provider if they support this feature on your phone. if you are trying to send using bluetooth, power off your phone and take out the battery for few seconds put the battery back in, power on and try sending. if does not work, reset the phone to its original manufacturer setting. make sure your b tooth is connected

When viewing the message press options and go to use and it should give you options to save it.

I got some free ringtones from the internet but they seem to be stuck in my inbox on my RAZR.How can I get them to be actual ringtones on my phone?

You have to save it as an audio. Normally you go to options while reading that text and save should be one of your choices.

How can assign a sound as a ringtone?

You need to send the sound that you recorded and saved in your phone to yourself in a PIX (picture) message. No Subjects, Text or Pictures are necessary to have in this message, as only the sound itself is required. Once the message arrives on your phone, choose "Options", then "Save As Ringtone". Once you have saved it in that manner, go to "Get PIX and FLIX", then "My Ringtones". It will be stored as a fully usable ringtone there.

Ringtones

I really am not sure if you can get free ringtones any more...
T-Mobile is really tight about that stuff and usually has the phone configured so that your free ringtones wont work on it.
Maybe trying to use the "bluetooth" option and send ringtones to your phone would work.

Downloaded ring tones

Get the person you want the ringtones from. Like a family member freinds. Tell them to send you a sound text message and then when you get it you should probablly be able to save as ringer.

Save a new ringtone

You should have saved it under ringtones naturally. Look there for the song. It may have sent it to you in a message as well and you are not looking in both areas. Let me know.
