was there a dishwasher there before you bought the new one? if not did you drill out the pipe that the drain hose connects to? as the pipe is solid unless you drill it out or unless there was a dishwasher there before then obviously there will already be a hole cut. also check the water tap for the dishwasher is turned on and that water actually comes out of the tap
The soap wont come out if there is no water. Does the detergent flap open? If so, the dispenser is OK. If not, you need a new dispenser. If the machine is not filling, check the pressure switch and or the tubes that go to the pressure switch, they may be blocked, tricking the machine into thinking its already full of water.
Hi.
Your dishwasher should never be connected to a hot water tap.
Every dishwasher has its own Heating element. If you connect it to a hot water tap you may eventually damage the inlet valve which has sensitive plastic components in it and may even void your warranty if your installation manual suggests Cold water connection only.

Check you dont have a small inline filter inside the inlet water pipe. Either at the "tap" end or can be on the machine itself. They look like a small sieve. Remove it and clean with a toothbrush. Then put back.
I had this same problem and in addition as it ran water dripped out the bottom while the dishwasher was running just before the tap light came out. Check the outlet hose is not blocked. Ours was blocked at the T junction where it met the sink outlet. Once the blockage was cleared we hit another problem - the pump kept trying to drain - even when the door was open. Found an excellent solution to that on this site. It had occured as the previous problem had casued the flood switch to be triggered. We had to tile the sihwasher back 45 degrees to fix it. Now its workig fine again.
no power even though there is live power on to it
