I would say the best way is to compress your files on your selected drive by going to my computer right clicking on the drive that you want to increase the capacity, click properties, then the tools tab. U should be able to defrag, compress from there. But I am pretty possitibe that the 15 gig drive is for backup of files for your computer incase the bigger drive crashes.

Computer did not bootup after adding 2nd harddrive

Did you connect the drive to cable spot closest to the motherboard on the primary IDE channel? is it formatted? Did you try the drive on the Second IDE channel? Can your system support a 160 GIG drive?(if not try partitioning the drive.). Is the power and data cable connected properly?(the red line on the data cable should be closest to the power plug on the drive.)

Vaio f650 partitioned hard drive

First try reducing your page File - then move the data - and then, potentially, increase the page file back again.

To change the Page File size, right click on My Computer, go to Properties - then the Advanced Tab, then click on Performance Settings, then Advanced Tab and Virtual Memory section - click the Change button - and reduce the size of the pagefile on the drive that you need space.

Low memory on C drive

Hi,

14GB is not usually enough for a C drive. Because the system restore feature is good at hogging up your space. And yes gettting a new hard drive should do the trick. But make sure that the windows drive is allocated atleast 20-40GB. Maxtor drives are an inexpensive option. I have seen a 1000GB Maxtor drive priced at around 120$!

My sony vaio s460 does not detect the hardrive, after I installed new 120 gig sata, I called to sony and they said tha I need the same hardrive 80m gig 5400 rpm, as the laptop comes from factory, it is...

It may be that your machine can not handle a drive of that size. When I replace hard drives I always try to replace them with the size they came with just in case they do not support a larger size.

IS Toshiba mk6006gah HARD DRIVE COMPATIBLE WITH SONY VAIO

I know someone that bought a toshiba mk6006gah for his sony vaio TR1 series, so i think it is. Just look at the harddisk the local shop took out for you. Somewhere on the disk is told wich size it is. You could also give me the typenumber of that disk. Then i could tell you the size for certain.

Hard drive

You should have no problems with any drive, just make sure you buy an IDE drive not a SATA drive.
