I have a msi motherboard (ms-7142) with built-in sound card, unfortunately i lost the installation cd so i have a problem with the multimedia audio controller.. and i dont know what type or model of soundcard was it.
Go to http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloadindex. From there you can either enter the model number of your motherboard and manually download the correct drivers, or you can simply use MSI's live update utility which will certainly update your audio drivers and any others than may have been updated. they are only for windows xp as there are NO Vista drivers listed.
downlaod them to your desktop (so you can find them later)
double click on the new download to start the install, follow the prompts and restart when told ..
