Download the Palm Desktop Software and start to use it if you decide to continue using the Zire 21.
The Software is free from Palm.

Sounds like the problem is the LCd screen already. Have you tried doing a hard reset to your palm? The data in your palm can only be transferred using Hotsync. Try uninstall/install the software again to the new computer. May i know the Windows OS of the new computer and what is the model of your Palm.
do you want to completely delete all the data on your palm zire if so try a hard reset (deletes everything!)
To do a hard reset:
Press and hold the power button on the front panel of the handheld. 1. No, I'm not willing to pay for you to fix my problem, because I feel that after paying nearly $100.00 for my Palm, that you should at least help me get it so I can use it properly, And since that doesn't seem to be where you are. forget it. Unless you are willing to help me get started with my Palm free.
