To the best of my knowledge, if you don't have a pc backup, you are out of luck....
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...
Download the Palm Desktop Software and start to use it if you decide to continue using the Zire 21.
The Software is free from Palm.

Sounds like the problem is the LCd screen already. Have you tried doing a hard reset to your palm? The data in your palm can only be transferred using Hotsync. Try uninstall/install the software again to the new computer. May i know the Windows OS of the new computer and what is the model of your Palm.
It is possible that the battery has lost it's skill. If you can plug it in, either by usb to a computer or through the power supply, and the screen shows it is a goner.
The link below is for the palm zire m150 if your interested in replacing the battery yourself. The zire 21 is similar to that model so it's pretty much universal.
Hello beager. have you received any error message while performing the HotSync? Do you mean that when performing HotSync, you lost all the address data?
With your Palm Zire 21 connected to your pc, go to the link above and run through the Palm HotSync troubleshooting dialog to see if any results come up that will solve your issue.
HotSync issues are unfortunately difficult to pinpoint and often will require a software update or patch to resolve issues.
do you want to completely delete all the data on your palm zire if so try a hard reset (deletes everything!)
To do a hard reset:
Press and hold the power button on the front panel of the handheld. 1. While holding the power button, use the tip of an unfolded paper clip (or 2. similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press and release the reset button. Wait for the Palm PoweredTM logo to appear; then release the power button. 3. When a message appears on the handheld screen, warning that you are about 4. to erase all the data stored on your handheld, press any other button to perform a soft reset.
No, I'm not willing to pay for you to fix my problem, because I feel that after paying nearly $100.00 for my Palm, that you should at least help me get it so I can use it properly, And since that doesn't seem to be where you are. forget it. Unless you are willing to help me get started with my Palm free.
Thank you
Those two devices are not compatible to one another. You may get it to work by exporting the Palm desktop data into a CSV file and importing it into the program you use to sync the Itouch with.
