Magic is as much about the performance of the trick as it is about the trick itself.
All magicians put in hours and hours of practice in order to get good enough to 'trick' their audience.
- Before you take your tricks to an audience, practice them infront of a mirror again and again. There's no such thing as too much practice. Once you've really mastered the technicalities of the trick.
- Get a volunteer such as a family member or good friend to show your tricks to before you take them to a wider audience. They can be honest with you if they think it wasn't great or they were able to see how you did it.
- You can join a magic club, either on the internet or even better a local one, where you can meet up with other magic enthusiasts to swap tricks and tips.
- Try and find yourself a magician mentor. Basically anyone with more experience than you and with tricks that you respect.
Practicing is the key but having fun is just as important.
Good Luck!
