The unit doesn't recognize the presence of a disc in the tray and it won't open...
1)just open the player
2)remove the rubber belt connecting the dc motor
3)you
can open the disc tray now
4)if there are any dust particles or obstacles in the door way just clear them up by using the cloth(dry cloth preferred)
5)if you have any greasy material like vaseline, oil, etc then just put that in the door for easy movement of the disc tray
6)if needed change the rubber belt which is connecting the dc motor
7) just reconnect the rubber belt again and then just
fit all screws that s all
what s more your player s disc tray will start ejecting like the previous how you were using..
any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you

Unit suddenly would not recognize an almost new DVD -RW disk after three recording sessions. Cleaned unit, but no joy. I then tried a new +RW disk and recorded overnight. The unit played it back perfectly. But some functions work much slower with +RW disks, so I Initialized a new -RW disk in VR mode with no problem. Recorded stuff over night and it all played back with no problems. But the unit then would not recognize the same disk after a second overnight recording session. It still seems to work OK with a +RW disk, however.
The DVDR1 will not recognize any discs, including ones that were recorded on it earlier. I have followed every hint in the manual, still no correct operation. I opened it up and the circuit boards are pretty complex. A schematic would help. If anyone has had this problem and solved it, please e-mail me at [email protected]. Sending the unit in for repair is a losing proposition. They will replace a board at a high cost (usually more than you paid for the unit to begin with) and repair the board and put it in another unit, all without giving you credit for the board which they took out of your unit. So, they make big bucks with nothing out of their pocket.
