Within the menu items that can be viewed on the back of the camera, there is a language option that you can set. You may have to scroll through all of these to get the correct setting. Nikon tends to change the menu layout from camera to camera, so it may not be the same in your D60 as it is in a D300 or other model.

Tap MENU to bring up the menu screen. Tap the wrench icon to bring up the setup menu. Language is the eleventh item on this menu.

Press the Menu button. Select Setup (the wrench icon, or else the last item). Select Language (either the waving flag icon, or else "xxx/Language" where xxx is Language in whatever language is currently selected. No matter the language, it should still say "Language" in English after the slash. In that menu, each language is labeled in that language, so you should see "English" as one of the options. Select that, and everything should be back in English.

Use cursor-up/down to select the item that says "Language" in the current language and in English. Press cursor-right. Use cursor-up/down to select "English" and press the OK button.
