When tomtom is connected to the wall outlet the green light next to the power button is on and when I press the power to turn it on nothing happens. Screen doesn't turn on. Tomtom doesn't turn on. When I disconnect the tomtom from the wall the green light goes out. So I guess no power is reaching the tomtom. So it is impossible to turn on. I think it may be the battery. What should I try as a solution? Thank you for your attention and support in advance.
Reset the device by pushing the reset button near the plug on the bottom of the unit , then it will come on i presume you upgraded by the internet you need to use a paper clip to reset the unit

SOURCE: doesn' t turn on
1. Connect the TomTom to the USB for power (green light should be on).
2. Hit the reset button on the bottom of the device - you should feel it depress slightly.
3. Press firmly and hold the power button and count to 10.
5. Try this a couple of times if it doesn't work the first time.
Even if your battery is ****, the power connection has a pass-through, so you can still use the device as long as its connected to the charger.

If this doesn't work, you can reset your device. To do this, press and hold the Power button for fifteen seconds. Release the Power button when device begins to restart.

Same problem, I reset and nothing happen.
I have exact same problerm w/ 2 week old Tomtom730 GO. Already tried reset about a Gazillion times...
