SOURCE: Cd is stuck

Disc Eject Prohibit: This feature keeps the disc from ejecting even if the eject button is pushed. The disc eject prohibit feature is engaged/disengaged by pressing the CD and Eject buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds.

Turn the radio off first and then disconnect the battery for 2 min then reconnect the battery. This should reset your radio and then you can eject your CD, and reset your stations and clock. Good luck

CD no good

Hi Kutemba,

Thanks for asking me to be your tech buddy.

May I pls inform you that my knowledge and experience with mobile phones and PDAs would be at best described as "for personal consumption only".

In any case, it would seem that the company/website that deals with the X500 is www.etencorp.com. Their support/download page is here. There is however another company/website http://glofiish.com/ that also deals with your unit. heir support/download page is here. Available on that page are manuals, software, Windows Mobile Upgrades (Versions 5 & 6). You need to joij as a member. Additionally, the updates require a licensed copy of WM5.

The good news is all are in English. There is also a ROM update which may be needed if the unit has firmware issues as others in your original post have posted.

Another that I would like to suggest (if you haven't tried yet) is to leave the battery off the unit at least overnight.
For the moment, try to download all related files, manuals, updates, firmware, ROM and whatever you feel would be relevant to your X500. Please create a temporary folder in your PC to house all the downloaded files.

Good luck.

CD Player

I had the same problem on this stereo(disconnected the battery and then the cd wouldn't come out). Press and hold the "On/Att" power button and the "SEL" button at the same time for a few seconds. It will reset the unit and spit out the cd (but all your presets will be gone).

Error 10 message on display screen

Same issue but pressing Power and SEL would not reset unit. Found solution. Once again disconnected the car battery. Removed the face unit from the radio base and then reconnected the battery. Replacing the face unit AFTER the power was re-established solved the issue. (Probably pulling the radio fuse rather than toying with the battery connection would have done the same thing.)

CD do not eject

I have the same prob with mine right now and thats why I came here was to find the manual. In the manual it states that that when something like this happens you need to hold two buttons for a few seconds and what it does is it resets the cpu in the deck. I had to do it before and yes I was kind of leary of the solution also but IT WORKED!! Now I'll have to dig before posting this otherwise I didnt just create a common solution I talked about it. Ok while holding power/ATT press eject for more than two seconds, and it says careful not to drop the cd~~~DAAA Or to reset the unit: While holding SEL (select) press power/ATT for more than two seconds and that will reset the unit to factory defaults. And this was actually from my owners manual of which I found...
