Screen upside down

Everything I type starts from the bottom right corner. Every number and letter is upside-down. I tried to reset the Ram but that didn't help. I never play games on my calculator, but I don't have a hard cover for it, so sometimes it bounces around in my back-pack and random buttons are clicked... HELP!

I have seen a lot of questions of this sort but I have never this this inversion in a calculator. You could try to reinstall the Operating system. For the TI83 Plus, the last OS version is 1.19. If it is a TI84Plus/TI83 Plus Silver Edition the OS version number is around version 2.55 MP.

Was it a prank ?
I have read that to invert the LCD-screen you just flip the polarisation-plate (the plastic film that sits over the LCD display) 180º, that is , upside down.

SOURCE: My TI-83 types numbers or shows menus upside down now

Hello,
You sould reinstall the operating system.
Use the link below to install TIConnect software
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_ti_connect.html You can also download the latest OS there.

Install TI connect on your computer and run it to open the main Window. Then connect you calculator to a USB port and, in the TIConnect main window Click the TIDeviceInfo icon. Software will try to retrieve the info. If it does your calculator is fine.

If it tells you Device Not found , Click communication settings in same pop up window where it said Not found, and Select Device, Select Cable, Select Port and Click OK..

If you are lucky and it works, you should reinstall the OS, which can be downloaded from education.ti.com. You drag and drop the OS on the TIconnect main window. Calculator must of couse be connected to computer.

If you have problem with TIconnect, use the calc-to-calc cable to transfer the OS of a working calculator. Yous should be on Receive mode [2nd][Link] --->>Receive. (When both calculators are ready hit enter.) The other calculator, you guessed exactly right, must be on Send [2nd][Link][SEND][G:SendOS]. (When both calculators hit [ENTER])

If all that does not work, then it may be time to head for a place of worship to pray for its resurection, or look for a repair shop.
Hope it helps

Jumping letters when typing

Probably your system got so slow that it doesn't get everything you are typing.
Try this:
Go to the bottom right hand corner of your screen and right click on the icon one by one and choose "EXIT" to stop those software to run. then start your typing program and try.
Does it work? then your system is overloaded, needs a cleanup or more power.
It doesn't? then it 's probably a virus...:(

Let me know how it goes.
Cheers

Garmin nuvi 1200 wont let me type the right letters

Try recalibrating the touchscreen. The procedure can be found here:

http://www.sharc.net/discus/messages/6/77.html?1315261162

Turn off the Nuvi. Place your finger on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then push down on the power button to turn the unit on. Release the power button when the Garmin logo appears. Continue to press on the upper left-hand corner of the screen until you see the calibration screen.

Press each dot to recalibrate the screen.

Once completed the Nuvi will display Calibration Complete

Upside down screen on my Motorola Crush

I'm assuming your phone changes screen orientation when you tilt the phone. If so, there's a number of small devices called accelerometers that detect such movement, and one may be ****. This might sound a bit odd, but if you can remember what side of the phone hit the ground, smack the opposite side against a hard surface. You might be able to figure it out by where the scuffmarks are.
Example: If there's scuffmarks from being dropped, are on the bottom left corner, smack the top right corner against something.

Screen is upside down as I type

Wow. Just wow. How did that person do that?! Anyways, try resetting ALL of the memory, and see if that helps, if not, ask the student what she did so that it can be reversed (probably by doing the same steps in the opposite order.

System turns on an runs but shows nothing on screen

not very descriptive. If you want premium support from your community, your going to have to be a lot more descriptive. Such as, you turn the Laptop on, you hear it starting up, but the screen remains black. The harddrive lights that usually blink green aren't doing anything. Does it beep? Does it make noise? Is the fan in the back right making a lot of noise?

Possible solutions: RAM needs replacing. Flip the laptop upside down, and unscrew. Remove one stick of RAM. Turn on the laptop. if the problem still exists put ram back in and now take out the other one. Turn back on. If problem still exists keep going down.

If your computer is making loud noises from the fan, you may need to clean it out. The CPU is in the top right corner of the laptop, if it gets to a certain temp, teh PC will simply turn off.

If al else fails, your motherboard is probably failing and the PC isn't salvagable. I use a inspiron 1100 too (so much most keys don't have letters or bumps on them), and the only time this happened was when the ram needed replacing.

Repost if that wasn't a solution for you.

IPhone Touchscreen Partial Hypersensitivity

Have you fitted a screen protector, as this could be causing inadvertant screen touches. If not try a reset. Hold down the power key at the same time as the round home key until
phone powers down. Release buttons only when you see the apple logo,
then wait a min or two for phone to re-boot. You will not lose any data on the phone.

If this does not work, try an actual system reset. Sync iPhone to computer to back
up essential data ie contacts apps etc, then go to settings general and reset. Reset
all settings as a last resort. This will give you a fresh start and should sort out
the majority of any bugs the phone has. A resync with you computer will restore apps etc.

Hope this helps and if so please vote.

Thanks
